News from the Headteacher

The secondary school experience is a very important stage in the life of all young people and you and they will want to feel comfortable with the way that this school works and with the values that it represents. To this end, we have tried to ensure that all information and communication gives a true reflection of Wombwell High School. The New School

In September 2012 Wombwell High School will join with Darfield Foulstone School in the new Advanced Learning Centre (ALC) currently under construction off Pitt Street, Wombwell, on the site of the Netherwood Country Park.

The new Interim Headteacher, Joan Law, appointed by the Local Education Authority in September 2011, attended Wombwell High School and Darfield Foulstone in October 2011 to share information with parents and prospective pupils about the new school and leadership.
