News from the Headteacher

The secondary school experience is a very important stage in the life of all young people and you and they will want to feel comfortable with the way that this school works and with the values that it represents. To this end, we have tried to ensure that all information and communication gives a true reflection of Wombwell High School. If we are going to work together successfully it is essential that you have confidence in the school you have chosen.

Facebook!

The school is due to close at the end of July this year. We are looking to celebrate the life and times of the school and want you to be involved. We have set up a facebook page where we intend to post photos, information about past events in the school and it’s history. This can be accessed through www.facebook.com/wombwellHS We hope that you, members of your family and friends will contribute to the site by adding your memories, thoughts and photos and we hope that will continue after the school has closed. In addition, the historical society are setting up display boards in Wombwell Branch library on Station Road where you can bring your photos, identify people in the photos and add your memories/knowledge of Wombwell school. The historical society meet there every Monday and Thursday afternoons.
